Jacqueline Penney is a well-known artist and author who has lived and maintained an art gallery and studio on the North Fork of Long Island for the past thirty-five years.  She captures the essence of the landscape; the movement found in a seascape; and in all her work a thoughtful, peaceful mood.  These paintings invite one to pause and rest, and provide a simple, yet elegant expression of the ordinary transformed.  The Penney Gallery/Studio offers the visitor a chance to view original paintings that are for sale and, more often than not, work in progress. A miniature garden surrounds a pond and waterfall in close proximity to the studio and in the cooler months a wood-burning stove glows and invites the visitor to stay a while.  The gallery is open all year and a telephone call guarantees a personal tour.

          She has published two books, one on painting miniature watercolors and one on her technique in acrylic painting.  She co-authored a third book on art and meditation.  All of her books are available online and signed copies are available at the gallery.
