Jacqueline Penney is a well-known artist and
author who has lived and maintained an art gallery and studio on the North Fork
of Long Island for the past thirty-five years. She captures the essence of
the landscape; the movement found in a seascape; and in all her work a
thoughtful, peaceful mood. These paintings invite one to pause and rest,
and provide a simple, yet elegant expression of the ordinary transformed.
The Penney Gallery/Studio offers the visitor a chance to view original paintings
that are for sale and, more often than not, work in progress. A miniature garden
surrounds a pond and waterfall in close proximity to the studio and in the
cooler months a wood-burning stove glows and invites the visitor to stay a
while. The gallery is open all year and a telephone call guarantees a
personal tour.

Jacqueline
Penney has written three books that are published by North Light Books.
One is on painting
miniature watercolors and one on her technique in acrylic painting. Penney's new
book, Paint Charming Seaside Scenes With Acrylics, is a treat to both
artists and seascape aficionados. Penney
co-authored a fourth book on art and meditation.
All of her books are available on line and signed copies are available at
the gallery.
